Why do I EVEN TRY baby proofing things?

Another baby proofing that he has defeated. I even tried to rip this lock off the oven to see if he could do it. It was stuck sooo tight! Well, he got it (as you can see in his hand).
So I took the pic and grabbed him down and shut it back up and tried putting the lock back on.

One success he can't take away from me. After baby proofing this pantry door numerous times and him just pulling on the door so much it rips off I finally out smarted him.
I took the door knob off. And he can't even stick his finger in the tiny hole to open it. Believe me, he tries. He watches me to see how I get it open... but I have to reach high up to the top and slip my fingers in the crack and open it.
This is how badly he gets frustrated that he just can't seem to out-do me here.
HA!!!!!

Ammon's nickname at the moment is Smiles. He smiles at everything! You talk to him he smiles, you even look at him he smiles. I am so glad he is so happy. When he smiles it is like he can't spread his smile enough! He is such a wonderful baby. He was so good for me at church today... not a single cry.
Oh Ammon, how I love you! :)
Marek's nursery teacher was talking to me about him today. I always ask how he is doing and behaving in class. She says, "Oh we just LOVE Marek. He teaches us how to sign and he always wants to read books. It is so funny though. At snack time I give him his animal crackers and gold fish and 10 seconds after I give them to him I look at him and he is finished! He just shoves them all in his mouth and he is done before all the other kids have even started. Then he signs he wants more fish and it is so cute I can't help but give him more." That is right. Marek does not chew. He shoves everything in his mouth and then swallows. He is a very fast but messy eater. I then told the nusery teacher, "Yes. And he also eats crayons (knowing they color in there)." She replied, "Yup. I know. He always does it when I turn my back. Last week I had to fish out a whole chewed up crayon in his mouth." Well, at least he chewed this time, right?
I hope he didn't learn his eating habits from me! I better watch myself a little more closely! ;)

HaHa! I'm so sorry and I know I shouldn't laugh, he would probably give me a heart attack. He is so creative. I look everyday to see what new antic he has come up with. I hope he doesn't bite you when you have to fish something out of his mouth. Good thing you have smiles there to keep you smiling. :) Love you
Aunt Phyllis
He is all boy! I agree with the prior comment, I can't help but smile at his creativeness to be naughty :-) I bet he brings so many smiles to you everyday, because he does it for me and I am across the country! We send our love to you and Chaz!
Man Sara, we (you) have our hands full! Two stunning lil' guys and enough creativeness and mischief to always keep you guessing what he's up to. It's hard to get upset with Marek when he's so dog-gone adorable. you see that "I know I'm caught red handed but aint I cute" look on his face standing on the oven? Classic. Our little boys are a handfull, but what a humungous blessing they are! I love you Sara, you are amazing with them. thanks for your hard work...give those kiddos my love!
You and me,
Chaz
wow! Marek really reminds me of Milo! He watches us to see how we do everything, and learns quickly! When he gets a little older, he'll get bored with trying to break/ get into everything, I promise..But that might be replaced with picking on his baby brother. That is what we are going through right now. Milo won't keep his hands off him. He was perfectly nice to him when he was a tiny baby, up until last week, and not he won't stop picking on him!
I love smiley babies!
oh! I am so in love with my grandsons!! All I can do is laugh about Marek! I yearn to see them both and play with them. Marek is at that fun age to have lots of joy with his grandparents....can't wait until October! Hope he doesn't grow up by then :) and keeps doing his darling stunts. Hang in there babe-glad to see you be jovial about it all and take the time to capture these moments. They surely are precious even though they can tire a mom!
much love to all of you! mom
