A LOT of Fun

Today we went to the Nashville zoo again! It was so much fun! Marek loved the birds and meerkats the most I think. Oh yeah, and the fake alligator that he thought was real. Haha. He loves to sign "giraffe" when he sees the giraffes too though.. and he does just LOVE that awesome jungle gym. All around this is just a great zoo. Just wish they had gorillas! Ammon and Marek were both very well behaved and I actually had a RELAXING time! It was quite nice! The weather was just PERFECT. Cloudy with a light jacket. I do prefer the sun but when you have kids the clouds are nice because then you don't have to bathe them in sunscreen and worry about third degree burns on blonde boys :)

During the weekend we went to the strawberry patch and picked strawberries! RyAnne taught Marek how to pick them and Marek taught himself how to shove them in his mouth- stem and all! He quickly caught on that you are supposed to take the stem off. He is a fast learner :)

Ammon doesn't like his little jungle gym thing that swings toys over his head. The toys freak him out when they move...or even if they don't move really. He will spaz out and start screaming bloody murder. If I am near him he will do okay but the second I leave he screams in fright. Same thing when I attached them to his car seat. Quiet and observant at first and then screams for his life. Poor kid, he really is only used to my face in front of him and the swing mobile. No wonder anything else would scare him!

I added that little zoo pic of Marek because it has a good view of how Marek is styling his hair lately. Too long to mohawk the whole thing but we got to do something with it. So I mohawk a piece of it and let his front swirl take over the rest. Then his hair by his ears are starting to flip out. I can't wait to see what it does when it gets longer! How long will I let it grow? Guess we will find out together!

I was about to buy Marek some more of his beloved toy animals while we were there at the zoo but then I spotted this book. Then Marek spotted it and it was love at first sight. BOOK+ANIMALS+SIGN LANGUAGE? Forget it. $9 was never so cheap.

Get this! Marek, Ammon AND I ALL got MAIL TODAY!!! It was just a glorious sight to behold! When will that ever happen again!? They were the ONLY 3 envelopes, too! NO JUNK MAIL EVEN! What a fabulous thing. Thank you Mom, Jaydenn and Grandma Allen for making our DAY!
