My Sweet Ride

That's her, in all her 5,000lbs of glory. Our airframe is one of the oldest, underpowered, and worn out aircraft in the Army's inventory. But, man I love her. Yesterday we were doing some training as we were coming home from a mission and I was able to shoot my M4 out the door at some small boulders and see the rounds impacting in puffs of dust and rock. Then we shot the new high explosive .50 cal tracer rounds that we have and saw those same boulders pulverized in a puff of smoke. It was thrilling being out there in "indian territory" and when I saw a van of Afghani's with 6 guys on the roof screaming down the street- I could only think "we're not in Kansas anymore Dorothy." This is bound to be an interesting year. I Love you Sara, keep those boys familiar with my face so they're not scared when I come home to visit!
