Jennie put face paints on the boys. She drew Marek a SNAKE! One of his favorites! Marek couldn't really resist moving around so he smeared it all over... but hey, that is the fun of it, right? ;)
We moved them to the bath tub to paint their face. I also brought it the computer and webcamed with Chaz so he could watch Marek having fun in the tub with the paints. Marek was soooo excited. He kept screaming bloody murder and saying and signing DADDY!!!
This is what my boy does. Sick, I know. He does it because I tell him NOT TO. Then he laughs in my face.

The way you describe Marek reminds me so much of Milo... It seems like they absolutely aren't listening AT ALL, but they know exactly what you are saying. Annoying, huh? I've been trying the Super Nanny thing lately, because I've been spanking too much, and it just isn't working. I get down at his level, maintain eye contact, and lower my voice so that it's almost whispering. Then I tell him what I want him to hear, and if he still doesn't obey, he goes to his room with the door closed until he can come out and be obedient. Most of the time he is a good kid, and just is bored, but sometimes, he'll just wait until I'm watching and do something naughty, just to get a reaction. And I've usually given him good reactions by screaming, raising my voice, etc. But sometimes, when I walk into the room and he is standing on the kitchen table, I just have to laugh. Because it's so stinking cute! I'm trying to remember to laugh at the silly, cute things he does, instead of getting mad. He's only 2, and he's just trying to figure this world out...It's hard for me to remember that, sometimes!

good times!! miss you guys! Pierce has been moping around the house again today. He just wants Marek to play with. Oh boy what to do??? I came home and started organizing my house like crazy. you inspired me you pantry and closets are so organized:)
Oh my gosh!! So cute! Those boys are getting so big and I'll have to remember finger paint when that time comes. Looks fun. :)
