Updates

We are still at Ft. Rucker. The movers come and pack our stuff tomorrow and then Tuesday they load it all and move it. We are leaving on Wednesday for Ft. Campbell. We are very anxious and can't wait to get to our new home! Too bad our stuff won't get there for a week! Good thing we have a trailer though, so we can pack the most important things we will need.
Marek walks! He is still a little unstable but still manages to walk over (not around) things and not fall. He loves strangers and always does this cheesy grin while laughing at them. He loves to wave hello and goodbye. He can say "Daddy, Kitty, Doggie, Don't! and thank you." He refuses to say Mommie (he did say it at one point but hasn't for a month or so) and he also refuses to hand out kisses. He loves to read! If you offer to read him a book he will be your best friend. We also learned that he loves remote control cars when dogs chase them like crazy and bark. He will laugh out loud with his daddy at this. He also loves the backyardagains and when any music plays he sways to it and conducts it. Another trade mark he has is that he eats everything in site. Rocks, dog food, dirt, sand, plastic, metal, foam, you name it. He is 88% in his weight for his age and 67% in height. Oh, and for the record he LOVES birds. He will "caw" like them and point them out...especially helicopter 'birds.'
Funny/embarrassing moment as a mother: We were at our friends house watching conference and during Elder Bednar's talk on LOVE our friend, Brad, said innocently,"Marek come over here. Let me show you some love." Marek went over and Brad took him in his arms and played around with him and gave him a hug. Then the next thing that happened... Marek turned to his wife and gave her a little squeeze... a little above her stomach and below her neck. Haha. All I can say is he didn't learn that from ME. AND he definitely understands what 'show the love' means to some.

Marek! ah haha!!! AT first I wasn't sure what you meant but then it hit. :) I'm excited for you guys to move to Campbell. When Steve deploys I'll be in Missouri, I just might have to take a trip to visit all you girls out there. :) Good luck with the move. :)
