He wears preemie clothes. I was trying to gather an idea of how small is he next to the stuffed animal. It didn't really work. You'll just have to take my word for it, that he is as small as a baby doll.
How cute is this picture? We all went to the Scion Slam (basketball tournament) on base thinking it was indoors but it turns out it was outdoors. We all were sweating and hot. Marek sported just a t-shirt and a diaper. He was such a good little champ.
Chaz calls this the laboratory. I am prepared when I go to sleep so that I don't have to move or wake up anymore than I have to. I have everything on my little dresser right next to the bed.
I found Chaz and Marek asleep together on Sunday afternoon. Priceless, huh?
Dinner at Applebee's! Marek was so good. We went to a baptism right before this. It was a lot of fun. I love going out with my little baby :) It is just so mommy!
Awe, I love this picture. Oh yeah, I am feeding him by the bottle because Marek hasn't been able to "latch on" correctly while breastfeeding. He was born at 6 lbs 10 oz. and dropped to 5 lbs. 14 oz. so I had to do something about that. He was soo hungry. So now I constantly pump for that little guy. I want to make sure he still gets the nutritious breast milk either way! Hopefully he will learn to latch on as he grows. We will see! Thank goodness for Medella! :)
Yes, that is a BINKY. I know, I swore I never would give my child the binky and ESPECIALLY so soon! He needed something to suck on though. After feeding he still opens his mouth wide looking for something to suck on but is full. He will get fussy sucking the air...so I gave him a binky and wallah- no more fussiness. I guess that is how it works. So yes, he uses a binky now. How can you not give it to them when it gives them so much comfort and happiness? Don't worry, I swear he won't have it longer than a year.
I tried to take some pictures of him. It didn't work out real well as you can tell. These are just trial pics, to get an idea at what is to come :) I learned I have to take these pictures when he is sleeping or really groggy.

He is a doll!!! I wanted to see him at the baptism, but I'm just so scared to be around a newborn like that. I just keep my distance for a while. ( you don't want him sick) But he is so sweet. Great pictures too!!!
Ok - he is sooooo sweet! Don't you love being a mom! I love your story about the binky - it is so funny how you swear up and down you won't do something and then - poof - it all goes out the window. I just want to give him a little kiss - he is so cute!
Don't worry about the binky! I swore the same thing and morgan still uses hers when she goes to bed. Babies actually have a physical need to suck, they can't help it. So its either a binkie or the fingers/thumb! And you can't take their hands away! He's adorable!

Hey I just wanted to tell you that all three of mine had a hard time latching until they were well over 6 pounds. Even gargantuan Jacob. And they all made the conversion, although you don't seem to worried. He is beautiful.
Beautiful family!! Marek is just so precious! And, about the binky, I think you can be grateful that he actually likes it. Like you, I swore my kids wouldn't have them. Carson actually never liked them. Neither did Nixan...but then he found his finger! Way worse!! He is now 4 and 1/2 yrs and he still sucks his finger! It is so frustrating...you can't get rid of fingers like you can binkys!! So, of course, we tried to force the binky on Treyson....he sorta liked it. Anyways...I'm with you...whatever makes your baby happy!!

Congratulations on your beautiful little man! He is so sweet! (I love the grapes shot... so funny!!) And don't you worry a bit about that binky. If it makes him happy... well, that's the important thing!
wow i can't believe you have a baby! sorry to blogstalk but i found you off of my sis kelly's blog...anyway, your baby is so cute, but i thought i would also mention that me and miken are jealous of your awesome hair. :)
