No Hiding the Belly now! :)

Here I am at 23 weeks pregnant! I feel very big...especially because I wear T-shirts and sweat pants to work all day long. I love it when I get to get dressed up and wear more fitting clothes...then I feel cute pregnant. Otherwise I kind of feel like a beached whale constantly looking into huge gymnastic mirrors! This week everybody that goes to gymnastics, mothers and children of all ages, now know I am for sure pregnant. There might have been questions before, but now everyone has either asked my co-workers or have come up to me and asked. There is no mistaken now! The gymnastic girls have said the cutest and funniest things to me. A couple little girls looked at me and one said, "Miss Sara, you look like you have a baby in your tummy!" I told her, "That is because I do!" Their mouths all dropped open and one said, "WHY?!" The other girl said, "Because she is married, duh!" I was relieved that at least one person understood I was married. A lot of girls think I am still in high school and have asked, "who is it with?" and "you look like the girl on the movie Juno.." which embarrasses me and I teach them that you "don't get pregnant until your married, understand?" I am not allowed to wear my wedding ring to work because it could scratch the children. I no longer care about that rule and wear it all the time now so I can prove to the children that I am married. I would rather be a good example and break the rule then obey the rule and set a bad example for the kids. Other children ask me what would happen if I poke my stomach and then they ask to touch it. Other children, around the ages of 8-11 make sure that I don't show them how to do the gymnastics they are supposed to do. They always make sure to yell out, "You aren't supposed to do that! You are PREGNANT!" In which I laugh and feel outnumbered, so I stop. I have had many women at work give me clothes and baby things (one lady even offering to pay for my most expensive baby item I wanted).

Oh, it has all been very fun being pregnant. I still have not been sick. On Wednesday I felt the worst I had my whole pregnancy...my stomach was killing for some reason and I had heartburn like crazy but that is to the extent of my discomfort and pain. I can live with that! :) My belly button hasn't popped yet and I don't have that famous line on my stomach yet either. I can see Marek kicking my stomach but that is still a rare thing to behold :) As for my cravings, I don't really have any. I like pepper and garlic powder and pizza sounds good most of the time too...and mac and cheese...but I really loved those things before I was pregnant too, so I don't think it is anything huge. The other night I ate a alvacado chip dip, which I normally would not even try, but I wanted to try it so bad and ended up loving it. That is probaby because of the pregnancy, because that was NOT normal. I have gained a lot of weight...around 15 pounds which is huge to me and I think a little about average but my doctor said it was fine. I made him promise me if I am gaining too much. My body has not significantly swollen yet. I still wear my rings and same shoes. What else? I don't see my hair or nails growing faster, darn it. I sleep well, still on my back. I find myself more off balance with myself and tend to get hot real fast because of the extra weight. That is pretty much it I think! It is so fun to go through all these wonderful mommy experiences. I can't wait until that baby moves even more!
