Marek Rockwell's Wall Mural!

Chaz drew all of this!! He drew it on transparent paper and then projected it on the wall from a projector. He traced it on the wall with pencil, then marker, and then he painted it. He did this all while I was in Utah for a week to surprise me when I got home. It is absolutely breath taking. Chaz spent roughly 40 hours on it that week. What an art piece!!



Sampson! We wanted him on the wall because he is also a Nazarite like Porter Rockwell. What great men to get such a promise from the Lord that they would not die (a certain way) if they were obedient and did not cut their hair. Hopefully Marek will be just as obedient!



Ammon, missionary to the Lamanites. He was astonishing for his bravery, love and wisdom. He is my favorite in the Book of Mormon. What a great missionary role model!



Porter Rockwell. The ultimate hero that has inspired Chaz and I. Marek's middle name will be Rockwell after him. He was Joseph Smith's bodyguard and best friend. Joseph Smith gave him a blessing that said if he, Porter, never cut his hair he would never die by blade or bullet.



Captain Moroni! Chaz's favorite hero. He is holding the title of liberty (which Chaz hasn't yet finished). If you can see on his breastplate Chaz kind of disguised "CTR" in it. His helmet is modeled after Chaz's spartan helmet.



Helaman and the 2,000 stripling warriors! I have always loved the stripling warriors and their mothers. Chaz loves the war story and we both feel like they all are such great heroes. We would love Marek to look up to these men/boys as role models in his life.
