Well Ive been up since 2:30 am feeling sick. Again. There is nothing to do. I thought having cable tv would be a little entertaining but guess what? I have found out that I dont care much for tv and I'd rather not watch it. Weird, I know. So, to pass the time I guess I will blog.
I realized I haven't posted pics of the house or the projects Chaz and I have done on here so that's what I'll do.
We got a steal on this armoire on craigslist. It fits our 42 inch tv. Something we really wanted so we could hide the huge thing and all it's wires. We like being in a room and not having to stare at a tv. Armoire? perfect. IF you can make it not look ghetto in your house...which is a no small task!

We also bought a dining table on craigslist before we moved. Ft Campbell has awesome online sales. It is hoppin! So I took full advantage of it before we left, knowing ft benning's craigslist and bookoo stinks. I'm glad I did!!
Here is the table. 8 chairs and 104 inches long with the leaf in. Awesome!!!

Before

Wicker chairs. The before.

The after
I sold my cumbersome crib that I had for marek and ammo. It was awesome but too heavy and way to complicated to put together. Plus I never used the attached changing table.
I decided buy a super cheap crib. I wanted it to be light and movable! I didn't care if it was ghetto.
So I got it for 20 bucks.

The before

So awesome! Requires no hardware! No screws! Just snaps on. It is sooo easy!!

The after
(I still have yet to do the baby's room)

And we painted this oak table white and mod podged helicopters from a calendar on it. Not sure if I posted about it yet or not. The kids love it!
And then we were painted out! No more projects! :) it was totally worth getting discount things and making them how you want but it is a lot of work! Glad we are finished!
Here are some pics of the sunroom in our house.

I'll have to take a picture of the playroom tomorrow. Chaz is very proud of it :)
That's all folks!

Hey Sara! I can't believe what amazing deals you got! Everything looks beautiful! I wanted to give you a heads up about your crib. I am so sorry this may stress you out but I have to say something or I will kick myself for not telling you...I had the EXACT same one for Evie and in less than 2 years and one move it fell apart. I had to TIE it together with ropes a 1000 times over so it wouldn't come apart! The plastic pieces can break easily and the wood where the screws are in gets stripped easily. Drop side cribs are basically no longer being made because they are dangerous. If they fall apart (and they do) it creates a gap in between the rail and the mattress and babies can get trapped an suffocate in between. "In June 2011, new federal crib safety standards went into place. Manufacturers can no longer make drop-side cribs as part of these new regulations." Read here:

I ditched that crib and got one that I LOVE when it went on sale. It has shorter legs so you don't even need a drop side. Seriously, don't even put your precious baby in that crib. There is a reason they sold it to you for 20 bucks. If you don't believe me, look up "drop side cribs" and the banning of them. They can no longer be made but people can still sell them if they have them in their stores. Don't buy them and tell your friends! They have good deals on Walmart.com if you are looking for a decent cheap crib with a stationary side. (Reading just now about it, I think you can actually buy something call an "immobilizer" to make the sides stationary, but seriously, why mess with that?!) Allright, sorry for all the doom and gloom, but NOW YOU KNOW!
I was looking at that Beautiful Armoire and then I saw you painted it. One woman's ghetto is another woman's divine. I LOVE bare wood. Isn't that funny! It does look pretty though and I'm very happy for you. love Aunt Phyllis
Those are great transformations! You are so talented!
