Unfriendly cervix

I just had my doctors appointment.

75% effaced.
0 dialation a.k.a. cervix STILL closed.

I liked the doctor this time but not the news. At least something has happened though... 75% is good. I just wish I would have been dialated. It looks like I am going into next week. I just pray now that I GO into labor. At my next appointment I have to schedule a C-Section date. They won't induce Vbacs and they won't strip my membranes because I tested positive for that bacteria thing. So, I really have to go by myself.

The doctor kept saying the phrase, "unfriendly cervix." He wasn't saying mine WAS but if it IS going to be..blah blah blah. :(

I hope my cervix isn't unfriendly. Come on and open already... I am sick of waiting!

Get this. They asked if I had any follow appointments after today and I told them no. They then said that they couldn't get me an appointment right now because of some complications with the system/administration ...something...blah blah so they told me that they have to "email" the administration and then someone "should" call me to schedule an appointment. If they haven't called me by Tuesday, then I am supposed to just walk in and tell them they never called me. Yeah. They can't even get a 40 week pregnant woman an appointment. Oh dear.

At my next appointment they are going to monitor the baby's heartbeat for 20 min. and then check to see if there is enough fluid for the baby still. They will let me go 41.5 weeks, maybe 42 weeks, but then I have to get a c-section.

This weekend I will be: walking, running, jumping, squatting, walking up and down stairs, possibly swimming, and all else that might help something happen. And yes- I am well aware of the #1 thing that helps labor along :) If only it would work already!

Now, I am out the door for Marek's doctor appointment. Today is just gonna be a disappointing day! (I am sure the doctor will say everything is fine and "just give him tylenol." Nothing new. I'm sure. Which it should be good news that he is fine... but I know he isn't.)

I heard of a lady who was 41 weeks overdue and they said they HAD to schedule a c-section. She scheduled one for 2 weeks later and had the baby a few days after, at home. Not sure if you're willing to be THAT ambitious, but it's a thought.

I hope that things go in your favor, group B strep - had that with Cedar, I feel your pain. The more I hear from you, the more I dislike military healthcare. Hang in there Sara.

Don't listen to the doctors! Your cervix is perfectly friendly! Obviously, your body is preparing for childbirth- 75% effaced isn't nothing! So just think positive, and try to visualize your body going into labor..I know that sounds corny, but I did visualizations every day and I think it helped.. Your body knows what to do, just try and relax, and let it happen! And, hey, maybe them not being able to schedule an appointment is a blessing- it will give your body more time to do what it needs to do! I'm glad they aren't rushing you, that would put more pressure on you. I know it's frustrating, though!
With Milo, I wasn't even a week overdue, and they were trying to schedule my C-Section! And this was a military hospital. I told them I wouldn't come in, and two days later, I went into labor! lol.. good luck! Either way, he'll be here soon, safe and sound! Hope Marek feels better!

Yikes! Don't hurt yourself doing all those things! I'll be praying that you go into labor on your own! I've heard that using one of those vibrating massager things on your lower back can help break your water.
