Chaz's Road Bike

Chaz has been wanting a road bike ever since he started doing adventure races. He bugged me and bugged me about it and came up with like 100 reasons why he should get one. I came up with just one reason why he shouldn't get one and won. "It will be the death of you." He couldn't really fight it, because if you know Chaz he is kinda famous for crashing his mountain bike, lol. And those tires are pretty thick! Road bike tires are like SO THIN that if you hit a pebble in the road you will probably break your neck. So, now you can see why I was adamant he not get one. Well, I finally caved. Chaz is so awesome that pretty much anything he wants I believe he deserves :) A weakness of mine, I know. Well, here is his beauty.

I found this on craigslist for him. I looked online for him everyday twice a day. I researched about the best bike so much that I ended up knowing more about road bikes in the end than Chaz did himself.

It's a Trek 2002 project one bike, full dura ace. We got a killer deal on it. The guy who we got it from was very nice and gave Chaz a very generous military discount.

Chaz loves the colors of the bike. Yellowish Gold and Black. West Point colors. Hence the shirt he is wearing. Lol.

Well, I think this is a big hello to a new hobby of his. Just pray with me he doesn't become road kill! Oh, and a big thanks to Chris Weaver who helped Chaz get the bike put together and helped with the bike knowledge! And to Brenna for sharing her mad skill knowledge, too!!! I really am excited to watch Chaz enjoy his new toy.

Sara...you're a sucker! Haha! I can't believe you let him get one...and helped him find too! I totally agree with you, "It'll be the death of him!" So, here's to hoping the Lord hears our prayers! :)

It is a nice looking bike...Don't go and get it all scratched up Chaz!

Yeah Chaz! I'm psyched you got your bike. Sure hope the fit is good, and you stay un-injured. Lots of stretching pal... cuz way too many roadies like to just hop off the bike and cruise off to their next adventure. Stretch, and your body will love you. Your bike will too, because you'll be back sooner.

Sara, your a good wife. A really good wife. Now let's find you a bike. :)

Sara, you need to get Elisangala to think like that.
