Pet Peeve: Chaz sitting on the toilet reading a book forEVER.
I think it is gross and I absolutely can't stand it. I told Chaz I was going to blog about this because I want to know if it is NORMAL? He says every guy does it and I want to know if that is true and if it is then WHY? And I also want to know if it IS normal, does every wife hate it like I do???? I just think it is sick...and unsanitary! Chaz says you go to the bathroom and clean up, but you still just sit on the toilet reading. For solace? Chaz says it is for peace and quiet...but I just caught him sitting on the pot reading Work and the Glory for over 30 min. while I am on the computer and Marek is sleeping.... hmmm, kinda rules out the peace and quiet deal.... Anyway. Comments please!!! I am eager for responses.
PS. I love my husband. :)

He gets it from his Dad. Totally. And, I'm not sure if it is "normal," but it does seem common. However...sitting on the toliet longer than neccesary can cause/worsen hemmoroids...so technically it could cause health problems. Maybe try telling Chaz that...if the sanitation reason doesn't work, maybe the threat of bleeding out his rectum would?? :)
Ha. That's really funny. And no, Caleb doesn't do that... he's too impatient. But lots of guys do. My brother actually opens his mail on the pot. I don't really understand it, it's not the most comfortable place to snuggle down with a book but I wouldn't have a problem with it. Just put some cleaning supplies in there and tell Chaz if he wants to spend a lot of time in there, it better be cleaning.
Have you seen the Seinfeld episode where George takes a book into the bathroom? You must find it; totally applies here! I agree, it is a little gross. Patrick is in the bathroom a long time, sometimes looking at Cabela's or magazines with house plans. Men are strange that way.

but no Mark doesn't do that, never has -we figure we have much more comfortable places like couches and beds to read on :)
Clint doesn't do that either. At least not that I know of. I have seen books and magazine's in other people's bathrooms, but we don't keep them in ours.
I have a little sister who did that when she was little, my bros made fun of her so much she quite. My father did that ALL the time, only he did crossword puzzles. My brother does it too. My hubbs...I don't think so. I know he has tried to take his 5-9 in, it didn't last long.
Jon reads the scriptures on the toilet every night or morning, it's true. He has done this for years! Life gets busy, and you have to go to the bathroom, so why not eh??? I know it's wierd though huh.
Solution: Fiber!
Try prunes, or grapejuice, or bran muffins!
My guess is that somewhere along the way, he just got bored waiting that long. :)
And sorry, Jaren isn't reading there... but then again... he's eating a lot of my vegetarian diet.
